Printing is misaligned on the paper

Fields come out shifted, cut off, or not at all. Three questions settle where the problem is — the printer, the template or the settings — and each answer points you to exactly what to adjust.

The first test: a blank sheet

Print the cheque on plain A4 paper and hold it over the real cheque against the light. What you see tells you where the problem is.

Golden rule

The template is set once for everyone, and the print dialog is set on each machine. If the error shows on one machine it is the print dialog; if on all of them, it is the template.

Still not fixed?

  • The text is broken or smudged while the positions are correct — not a positioning problem but paper thickness: Paper type: Heavy or Thick.
  • A laser printer pulls the cheque in at an angle: clean the rollers or try the manual tray.
  • A new chequebook with a different size from the old one: create a template for its bank by copying the current one and adjusting it — Cheque templates.
  • Support: message support on WhatsApp with a photo of the blank sheet over the cheque.
